The compartment of the Madras mill is enclosed with a magnetic cover for easy refilling, especially since the mill does away with a central shaft. This mill and its stainless steel mechanism are made in France. The mechanism is specifically suited to dry salt crystals (rock salt). It cannot be used with wet salt.
